Gearing Up for Deer Camp: Rentals, Renovations & Rut-Season Visitors

Today was a full day in the office — something that never sits easy when there’s always a project waiting somewhere. Between prepping two apartments for turnover, scheduling renovations, and getting Whispering Pines #3 painted and ready for new flooring and furniture, there’s no shortage of work ahead.

On the real estate front, we’re closing for one of our long-term clients Monday and have another offer out with negotiations underway. At home, we’re swapping out our old stove next week for a new dual-oven range with a center skillet — a serious upgrade after years of faithful service from our ’90s model.

The trail cams have been busy too — a fox, a skunk getting ready for hibernation, and a nice buck passing through. Time to restock the feeder and get ready for firearm deer season. Rentals are a bit slower this time of year, but we love hosting our hunting groups and can’t wait to see the photos and stories they’ll share. Soon guests will be able to share direct to the blog with our new QR guest upload system.

Good luck to all the hunters heading out to camp this weekend! Whether you’re in a blind, by the fire, or playing cards with family and friends — here’s to a great season and lasting memories.
