The Vault View – Working Remotely in the UP

Remote work isn’t a trend—it’s a lifestyle. And here in the Upper Peninsula, we’ve carved out a unique niche for travelers who are also professionals, creatives, and adventurers. About 30% of our bookings now come from monthly furnished rentals, designed specifically for traveling professionals looking to stay longer, live comfortably, and explore while they work.

We’ve had the pleasure of hosting:

  • 🩺 Traveling nurses and doctors
  • 🏗️ Contractors and construction professionals
  • 🎓 Adjunct professors
  • ✍️ Nomadic writers
  • 🌎 Remote workers exploring the beauty of the UP

Some stay in our studio apartments, others in our trail-facing or lakefront homes—because why not take a Zoom call with a kayak just steps away?

This wave of flexibility really kicked off during the Covid-19 pandemic. Offices downsized, policies changed, and suddenly many workers realized they didn’t need to stay put to stay productive. Today, our guests are taking calls from screened porches, writing novels on lakeside decks, and reviewing blueprints with forest views.

To make these stays easy to find and book, we list our properties on FurnishedFinder.com, Airbnb, and VRBO, as well as offering direct booking through our website. Whether you’re searching for your next 30+ night contract stay or planning a remote work escape, we’re here to help.

As needs have evolved, so have we.

We’ve added more furnished rentals tailored to monthly and midterm stays, and we’re working behind the scenes to launch new pages on our site to make it easier for travelers to browse rates, availability, and get in touch directly. Whether you’re here for healthcare contracts, construction projects, or creative inspiration—our goal is to provide a space that supports your work and your well-being.

🏡 Want to learn more or book your own stay? Visit us on your favorite platform or reach out directly—we’re always happy to help you find the perfect fit.
