The Vault View: Fall Colors, Fresh Starts, and Forward Momentum

Happy second day of fall!  Where did summer go? It feels like it flew by in a blur of adventures, rentals, and sales. But with autumn rolling in, we’re ready to embrace everything this season has to offer.

Hunting seasons are already underway—grouse is open, bear season has been successful for our guests, and bow deer season is just around the corner. The U.P. is about to shine with its best colors of the year, and we’re excited to get out there for SXS rides, hikes, and future deer season outings.

At Sandy Lake Lodge, we recently swapped out the faulty gas fireplace for a safer LED insert. Guests can now enjoy flame and ember effects without the worry of heat or fire hazards—plus, the color-changing flames add a fun twist!

Today, we’re working out of Jake’s Bed & Bar. The Starlink Wi-Fi makes it the perfect “traveling office,” and while the Wi-Fi is steady, our notes are already filling up with repairs, improvements, and ideas for the next round of updates. Later this week, we’ll be in discussions about a possible new venture. As exciting as growth is, we’re also focused on maintaining and improving what we already have. Growth is beautiful, but it definitely competes for time with the simple joys—like hunting, fishing, and family adventures.

Here’s to fall adventures, bright colors, and balancing growth with enjoyment. Cheers and adventure on! 
