Trail Cam Tales: The Forkhorn Follows Love

Hey Venturers — revisiting what we said earlier about bucks being unpredictable this time of year, we’ve got proof! At 4:06 a.m., a doe wandered into our pond feeder and lingered briefly. Then, at 4:30, another alert came through — same spot, same angle — but a closer look revealed her visitor wasn’t the same. Our forkhorn buck had followed her in! This guy’s been seen on camera a few times before, usually hanging out with a smaller spikehorn over the summer, but now that bachelor season’s over, he’s clearly broadening his horizons and following the ladies. The rut is near, and with it comes all kinds of exciting new guests wandering through. Cheers to trail cam surprises and the start of deer season energy in the woods!
