Closings, Cabins, Campgrounds & Chassell: The Next Chapter Begins
Where to even begin?! Thanksgiving week was a full-on adventure — storms, long drives, family birthdays, cats climbing Christmas trees… and somehow, we still kept the wheels turning across real estate, renovations, and rentals.
Our SXS and snowblower both decided to throw a tantrum right before the storm rolled in, but thanks to a $1 fuse, a handful of wire connectors, and Alex being a total rockstar helper, we got everything into the garage and back into working order. Amazing how the smallest fixes can make the biggest difference.
Firearm deer season… well… the bucks must have picked up a newsletter alert because not one decided to show up. Bow season next year might be calling our names. The trail cams will keep watch!
On the real estate sales side, we celebrated a win for one of our long-time clients as they closed on their first home — after quite a few hurdles and negotiations. We love watching someone begin their homeownership story. Another client is now under contract on a house perfect for renovations — it’ll be exciting to watch them transform that property.
In the Vault Ventures universe, winter operations are officially underway and our systems are holding strong. Whispering Pines #3 goes live this Friday and bookings are already incoming! We’ll showcase it in a dedicated post soon — new flooring, fresh paint, and fully furnished comfort ready for traveling professionals.
We also signed with Ark Renovations to take on a full overhaul of the second half of Jake’s Bed & Bar — giving us another 2-bed/1-bath rental AND the ability to combine both sides into a 6-bed, 3-bath group rental. Ideal for snowmobilers, SxS adventurers, and hunting groups planning their winter U.P. getaways.
And saving the biggest news for last… we just signed the purchase agreement on a major new property in Chassell:
✔ 6 cabins
✔ 5 apartments
✔ Laundromat building
✔ 14 RV pads + shower/bath building
✔ Big open field zoned for expansion — tent sites or more cabins!
We’re converting the first 3 units immediately into furnished rentals and now the fun begins… naming the place! Right now we’re leaning toward:
