Introducing Adventure Cabin #3 — Your Perfect Keweenaw Basecamp in Chassell

We’ve been putting the finishing touches on this one for a while now — and it’s finally ready for you. Meet Adventure Cabin #3 at the Chassell Adventure Campground & Cabins. Small but mighty, cozy but fully loaded, and sitting in one of the best locations in the Western UP for whatever kind of adventure you’re after. 🌲

🏕️ What’s Inside

Adventure Cabin #3 sleeps up to 4 guests and has everything you need to feel at home — without any of the stuff you don’t need.

  • 🛏️ Queen bed in the private bedroom
  • 🛋️ Queen pullout couch in the living area — perfect for a second couple or the kids
  • 🍳 Full kitchen — gas stove, full-size fridge, microwave, pots, pans, and everything you need to cook a real meal (or fry up the day’s catch)
  • Coffee & Keurig station — because mornings in the UP deserve a proper cup
  • 📺 Smart TV — for those nights when the fish weren’t biting and the trail wore you out
  • 📶 WiFi — stay connected or work remotely from one of the most beautiful corners of Michigan
  • 🚿 Full bathroom with tub/shower combo
  • 🪑 Private covered porch — sit outside with your morning coffee and listen to nothing but birds and the Northwoods waking up

📍 Location — Chassell, MI

Chassell sits right at the gateway to the Keweenaw Peninsula — centrally located so you can go just about anywhere in the Western UP within a reasonable drive. But the truth is, you might not want to leave. Between Chassell Bay, the Sturgeon River, the NARA Nature Trails, and Centennial Park right in town, there’s more to do within a few miles of the cabin than most people realize.

🎣 Built for Fishermen

This cabin was made for people who want to get on the water early and come back hungry. Chassell Bay is minutes away with a boat launch, a boardwalk with fishing points, and some of the best Walleye and Crappie action in the Keweenaw — especially for ice fishing in winter. The Sturgeon River is right here too, with multiple shore fishing and kayak launch points for Bass, Perch, Bullhead, seasonal Steelhead and Salmon, and the occasional Lake Sturgeon. The campground has plenty of room for boats and trailers — pull right in and unload.

🐾 MTU Families — You Found Your Spot

Coming up to visit your Husky? Chassell is a short, easy drive to Michigan Tech in Houghton — close enough to get to campus for anything, far enough to feel like a real UP getaway. No cramped hotel rooms, no fighting for parking downtown. Just a cozy cabin with a full kitchen, room for the whole family, and the kind of UP atmosphere you can’t get anywhere else. Parents weekend just got a serious upgrade.

💼 Remote Workers & Longer Stays

WiFi, a full kitchen, a comfortable bed, a covered porch, and fresh air that’ll make you wonder why you ever worked from a home office — Adventure Cabin #3 works beautifully for week-long or month-long stays too. We offer flexible weekly and monthly rates. If you’re a traveling professional, a remote worker looking for a change of scenery, or someone who just needs to unplug and reset in the Northwoods for a while, let’s talk.

🍕 When You’re Not Cooking In

The full kitchen means you can cook every meal in if you want — but when you’re ready to head out, you’re close to some of our favorite spots. 1902 Tap & Grill in South Range has Friday fish fry and Saturday ribs that are worth the short drive. Joey’s Seafood & Grill in Houghton is the definitive UP dining experience. And KBC on Shelden Ave is the perfect end to any adventure day.

Adventure Cabin #3 is bookable now for nightly, weekly, and monthly stays. Whether you’re planning a fishing trip, a family visit, a snowmobile weekend, or just a long overdue reset in the Northwoods — this is your spot. 🌲
