Why Did the 18 Turkeys Cross the Road?
Because Vern hasn’t fed them yet! (And I really need to get on that!)
Actually, it felt like a full-on protest as they single-filed in front of me, forcing a complete stop. It was quite the scene as they marched in protest of the feeder not being full yet. And speaking of wildlife, I also spotted the elusive three-legged fox near Sandy Hollow Vacation Home—again, too fast for a photo. Add in an eagle sighting and a few deer, and it’s safe to say… spring has finally sprung in the U.P.!
There’s still some ice on Sandy Lake, but things are thawing quickly. Sandy Hollow now has a sleek new kitchen faucet installed, and now on the rental side of things, two new traveling professionals will be moving into our furnished Kaleva Temple apartments right after MTU Graduation. Did you know that at any given time, we typically have 5–8 traveling professionals staying with us—ranging from nurses and contractors to professors and beyond.
