A Portage Canal Stunner: Monday Morning with a New Client
Short adventure Monday morning — got to stop and meet a new client and view his property. What a stunner!
No pictures of the property to share just yet, but it’s an amazing 4 bed, 1 bath place right on the Portage Canal, with a 32’x40′ workman’s dream of a barn, an all-season dock, and a walkway down to your own private beach on the canal.
This one won’t be coming on the market yet — we were just talking through prices, timing, and what his plans are. He’s 91, and still up and moving and doing everything himself. We ended up having a great 3-hour conversation, and I got the chance to hear some of his amazing stories and history. Hopefully we’ll get to list the property for him in the spring.
The bonus: I got to drop a couple lines and fish for 10 minutes. No hook-ups, but we saw some decent perch working the dock wall — and who doesn’t love 10 minutes of bliss on a calm Portage Canal?
