Mother Nature’s Tease & Always Planning Ahead!
Mother Nature is playing games with us again! Last week, we had temps in the 40s—a glimpse of spring on the horizon. Yesterday? Clear blue skies, sunshine… and 10 degrees when I woke up. It never even hit above freezing! Temps are looking better today, but hold on—what’s this? A winter storm warning for all day Sunday?!? 5–10 inches of snow? Unlike the last system that passed us by, this one looks like it’s coming straight for us. You wouldn’t know it, though, from the stunning orange sunrise over Chassell Bay this morning (I didn’t get a pic, but trust me—it was amazing). At least we were able to sneak in an ice fishing attempt last week for some fun! The clouds have moved in now, and the first flurries are falling.
New Things in the Works!
QR Code Placards Ordered – We’re adding these to all of our rentals south of Houghton to make guest info even easier to access. Our Whispering Pines rentals are still working through Google Verification, but those will be next.
New Duo Listing in South Range – We’ve combined Goose’s Hall (2BR, 1BA) and Kaleva East (3BR, 2BA) on AirBNB and created a single 5BR, 3BA listing for larger groups needing more space when attending weddings, events, and other South Range and Michigan Tech excursions.
New Twin Lakes Duo Listing Coming – We’ll be doing the same with Sandy Hollow Lakehouse (2BR, 1BA) and Jake’s Bed & Bar (3BR, 2BA) to give guests more room to enjoy both the lake and trails. While this won’t be an everyday rental, it’s great to have the option available!
Real Estate Action & Wildlife Updates
Sales Update – We’re moving toward a couple of closings soon and just submitted an offer on a rare 40-acre property in Keweenaw County. Fingers crossed for a smooth process and an exciting future for the young couple looking to call it home!
歷 Deer Feeder & Trail Camera Updates – We had to push this project back to this week, but we’re excited to reset the camera, add a second one, and start sharing more wildlife photos as we (slowly) welcome spring!
